C-CL BOND length in chlorobenzene is shorter then c-cl bond lebgth in CH3-Cl Why?

because between cl and benzene a double bond and cl and ch3 bonded by single bond

Hey !!

In chlorobenzene, each carbon atom is sp² hybridised due to resonance there is a partial double bond character, so bond length is short.
