SOLUTION

TO DETERMINE

1. Find the ratio of Rs. 10 to 50 Paise,

2. A bike covers 150 km distance with 3 litres of petrol than what distance it will cover with 5 litres of petrol

EVALUATION

1. Here the given two Terms are Rs. 10 and 50 Paise

Rs 10 = ( 10 × 100) paise = 1000 paise

So the required ratio

= 1000 : 50

= 20 : 1

2. Let x km be the distance thr bike will cover with 5 litres of petrol

So by the given condition

150 : 3 = x : 5

 \displaystyle \sf{ \implies \:  \frac{150}{3} =  \frac{x}{5} }

 \displaystyle \sf{ \implies \:  3x = 750 }

 \displaystyle \sf{ \implies \:  x = 250 }

Hence the distance thr bike will cover with 5 litres of petrol is 250 km
