ABCD is a parallelogram.

CD∥AB

∴ CD∥AE [ Extended part of parallel side ]

⇒ Area of parallelogram ABCD=AB×CE [ Since, CE situated between same parallel lines ]

=12×6.2

=744cm

=8×BF ----- ( 2 )

Comparing ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) we get,
