A mode of heterotrophic nutrition in which organisms derive nutrients in simple form from rotten materials is called saprophytic nutrition.

d)The leaf of a pitcher plant is like a pitcher which contains some digestive enzymes , insects attractive juice and a lid to close the opening of pitcher.

=> when an insect enters the pitcher its lid become closed and digestive juice inside the pitcher digests the insects in it .
