1. natural calamity can destroy or change ordinary people's life as it can take away their home separate them for their loved ones bring them to zero hence they have to start again which just takes away all their hard work in one swipe,giving people a big shock that takes years to recover from

2. the roots of large trees holds up the soil  underneath the earth and thus prevents the soil from eroding. when these trees are cut or pulled out that protection is gone,when bad weather meets soil without any protection it causes huge landslides

3.natural calamities are not man made and so it can affect all the people irrespective of what they are whether they are rich or poor etc...

poor people might have build a house from their hard work and sweat which could be destroyed by any destruction and the government must help the poor people because the ultimate power of democracy is the people themselves and people deserve help from the government.
