1. Well irrigation adds fertility to soil because severals chemicals such as nitrate, chloride, sulphate etc are found mixed with the well water when they mix with the soil they increase its fertility.

2.Inundation canals are operational only during the rainy season because these types of canals are directly drawn from the rivers without any barrage or dam,thus we can use them only when the rivers are well flooded.

3. Impervious layers of rocks are necessary for tank irrigation so that water does not seep in.
