1. In ancient times, people used the bark and big leaves of trees or animal skins and furs to cover themselves. Early men used to cover his body by animal skin since there were no production of clothes at that time .

2. The burning yarn gives an odour similar to burning paper. The silk yarn shrinks away from the flame and burns but does not melt. It has the odour of charred meat. They also melt and give out an odour similar to burning plastics.

3. After harvesting jute, it is keptsubmerged in water for a few days. During this period, the stem of theplant rots and the fibres (present in the stem) remain. The process by which fibres are obtained from thestem of the plant is known as Retting .

4. Due to its special thermal properties and silky sheen, kapok is often referred to that silk cotton or vegetable cashmere. The natural wax coating of the fiber inhibits moisture absorption. Kapok is ideal for use as a stuffing (toys, figures, pillows, etc.) or as sound insulation.

5. Fibres are first converted into yarn by the process of spinning. In the process of spinning, fibres from a mass of cotton (or wool, silk, etc.) In weaving, two sets of yarns are used simultaneously to make a fabric. Yarn is woven to make a fabric by using looms.

It took a lot of time to attempt this Que.

1. In the olden days, people did not know how to to stitch or weave clothes .Hence they cover the body with barks of trees to protect themselves harsh weather conditions

2. Silk is a natural fibre. When burned it does not release any hazard. Hence it has the smell of charred meat.

3. Jute fibre is obtained from the stem of the jute plant. Bundles of jute plant are immersed in water to make them rot, so that separating the fibres from each other would become easier.

4. Kapok is used as stuffing in toys as they are soft, silky and extremely water repellent.

5. Fibres are first converted into yarn so that stitching or weaving could be done easily and evenly so that the final product would look beautiful.
