1. Mawsynram receives a heavy rainfall.
2. Eastern side of the Westem Ghats receive only 70 cm rainfall only whereas Pune situated at a distance of
40 km receives more than 650 cm of rainfall.
3. Rainfall occurs all the year round in Western Europe,

1.Perched on the edge of a ridge in the southern slopes of Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills district, the tiny town of Mawsynran has received record highest rainfall in a single day with a little over 745 mm or nearly 30 inches of rainfall.

4. if a parcel of air from the surface rises it undergoes an expansion from higher to low pressure. when it allow air to expand it cools.It is not cool inside the tire but as the air comes out it expands and thus cools.

1. Mawsynram receives heavy rainfall because because when the Southwest monsoon winds enter the India they branch into two branches one of them is Arabian Sea branch and another is Bay Of Bengal branch . The Bay of Bengal branch then divides into many branches and one of those branches reaches the Eastern part of India and gives heavy rainfall in the Eastern part of part of India where mawsynram and Cherrapunji the two the two places which receives very high rainfall are situated.
