1) Caste based society follows a set of rules whereas tribal society does not follow any rules of the common society. ... The livelihood of tribes is mainly agriculture and they get their food through hunting. In a caste based society, people work at different levels. their occupations differ from one another.

2) Most of the tribal people were nomads. They move about with their animals. When the supply of food of these animals got exhausted in an area. They exchanged milk,honey,wool,ghee and so on with the settled agriculturists for grain and various other products.
