1.Gram sabha is an example of direct democracy because it does not need any permission from upper level it can give rule on the basis of the village and development of village authority and people in towns and cities exercise their political powers through elections .

During this period the candidates contact their voters, political leaders address election meetings and political parties mobilise their supporters. The publicity is also done through newspapers, television channels, election meetings, posters, etc. In election campaigns, political parties try to focus public attention on some big issues for which usually catchy slogans are created to attract people's attention.

4.Political party is called a voluntary association because people join it on their own. No person can be forced to join a political party. Every citizen has the right to join or not to join a party of his or her choice.

5.: Reserved symbols are symbols that are reserved for those parties recognised under the proper laws ,these are aloted to political party to stand for election where as the Symbols which are not reserved by any political party has been termed as free symbols.
