1. History is the study of changing patterns in society. Over time,history has evolved and developed. Once it revolved around the life of powerful people. Now ,history has become the study of common people,their lives and also about new ideas.It has become a study of how societies and economies change with time

2.Indian historians did not want to call the British rule in India a modern period because Indians at that time were not free. They were not considered equal by the British. The Indian economy was also very backward at that time.
