Answer:

1) "8th century" denotes the "beginning" of the "medieval period" in India. Medieval period or the middle age began from 5th century and ended in 15th century in the west and for India it was from 8th to 18th century. This happened because the Gupta empire collapsed. Thus, ending the "period of ancient India" and the beginning of a period in which the rulers focused on themselves only. The "medieval period" in India is divided into two parts- the "early medieval period" and the "late medieval period". Some of the prominent dynasties of the medieval period are the "Chalukyas, the Pallavas, the Palas, the Cholas and the Mughals". These dynasties ruled in the given order.
