Well, the water is wasted while irrigation in the following ways:

  • Sprinkler heads- They are more likely to being broken during routine lawn and landscaping maintenance. Also, as the spray head gets older, they are more often damaged or misaligned.
  • Broken Water Lines- Leaky pipes are a huge cause of large amount of wasted water. Sometimes, it's easy to fix leak, but other times, the line could be crushed or obstructed by tree roots, compressed soil and more.
  • Valve box- Valves box play an important role in sprinkler system. They control the working of irrigation system. If a water valve is loose, it could cause water to continuously seep out, causing water to ultimately be wasted
