thistle were eaten by garden snail , so the nutritional part from thistle will transfered to garden snail. The snail will be eaten by thrush the nutritional part from thistle and snail will transfered to the song thrush. Finally the sparrow hawk will eat song thrush so the sparrow hawk will gain the all the nutritional part from thistle , snail , and song thrush.
