Answer:

  • In English Alphabet, letters are of two types, one is Vowel and other is Consonant.

  • According to the given question our topic is Vowel. Vowel has five letters and they are a, e, i, o, u.

  • Indefinite Article 'an' is used before a word beginning with a vowel sound and here they are 'end' and 'arm'.

  • 'E' and 'a' are vowels that's why 'an' will be appropriate for them.

  • When we pronounce 'end' then a vowel sound ccomes first and again for arm a vowel sound also comes first. so both have started with vowels.

  • We know that Consonant can't stand alone and it needs support of vowel letters.

  • No word can be formed without the help of Vowel letters and here they are 'soon' and 'car'. Both have started with Consonant letters 's' and 'c' but they are words only for vowels : soon and car. If we extract 'oo' and 'a' from the words then they are not words anymore.

  • So in a word vowel plays major role.
