Given : Two similar triangles have a scale factor of a: b

To Find : Which statement regarding the two triangles is true

(i) The ratio of their perimeters is 3a : b

(ii) Their altitudes have a ratio a/2:b

(iii) Their medians have ratio a  : b

(iv)Their angle bisectors have a ratio a²: b²

Solution:

Ratio of perimeter of similar triangle is same as ratio of corresponding sides

Hence The ratio of their perimeters is  a : b

=> The ratio of their perimeters is 3a : b is FALSE

Ratio of  corresponding altitudes of similar triangle is same as  ratio of corresponding sides

=>  The ratio of their altitude is  a:b

hence Their altitudes have a ratio a/2:b is FALSE

Ratio of  corresponding medians of similar triangle is same as  ratio of corresponding sides

Their medians have ratio a  : b is TRUE

Their angle bisectors have a ratio  a²: b² is FALSE

Hence Correct option is Their medians have  ratio a : b
