  3. The main function of a leaf is to produce food for the plant by photosynthesis
  4. symbiosis means to depend on each other and both are mutually benifitted. when we add fertilizers and manure to the soil nutrients get replenished.
  5. i) The organisms which feed on dead and decaying matter , are known as saprophytes. Such as fungi, bacteria , etc
  • ii) Non-green plants that depend on other living organisms and obtain their food from them , are called parasites
  • iii)An insectivore is a carnivorous animal or plant that eats insects.
