- Water and solutes are transported by the xylem from the roots to the leaves,
- The main function of a leaf is to produce food for the plant by photosynthesis
- symbiosis means to depend on each other and both are mutually benifitted. when we add fertilizers and manure to the soil nutrients get replenished.
- i) The organisms which feed on dead and decaying matter , are known as saprophytes. Such as fungi, bacteria , etc
- ii) Non-green plants that depend on other living organisms and obtain their food from them , are called parasites
- iii)An insectivore is a carnivorous animal or plant that eats insects.
