MATCH THE PAIR :

1. Day and Night -

2. Earth - Rotation.

3. Axis - Imaginary line.

4.Seasons - Revolution.

Answer the following Questions :

1. A rotation is a circular movement of an object around a centre of rotation. If three-dimensional objects like earth, moon and other planets always rotate around an imaginary line, it is called a rotation axis. If the axis passes through the body's centre of mass, the body is said to rotate upon itself or spin.

2.Revolution" refers the object's orbital motion around another object. For example, Earth rotates on its own axis, producing the 24-hour day. Earth revolves about the Sun, producing the 365-day year. A satellite revolves around a planet.

3. 365 days and five hours.

Considerations. The Earth takes 365 days and five hours to make one complete revolution around the sun.

4.The Earth orbits the sun once every 365 days and rotates about its axis once every 24 hours. Day and night are due to the Earth rotating on its axis, not its orbiting around the sun. The term 'one day' is determined by the time the Earth takes to rotate once on its axis and includes both day time and night time.

5. We have seasons because the Earth is tilted as it makes its yearly journey around the Sun.

The Earth's axis is tilted at an angle of 23.5o.This means that the Earth is always pointing to one side as it goes around the Sun. So, sometimes the Sun is in the direction that the Earth is pointing, but not at other times. The varying amounts of sunlight around the Earth during the year, creates the seasons. The tilt of the Earth's axis is the most important reason why seasons occur.

The tilt of the Earth means the Earth will lean towards the Sun (Summer) or lean away from the Sun (Winter) 6 months later. In between these, Spring and Autumn will occur.

Hence, the seasons occurs because the axis of rotation of the Earth is tilted with respect to the plane of its orbit.

Answer:

match the following

1. day and night - rotation.

2. Earth - round

3. Axis - imaginary line

4.seasons - Revolution

Answer the following

1. The Earth goes round and round on its axis around the sun.

2. Revolution means the has completed one round around the sun.

How much time does the earth need to complete.

A. The Earth Needs One whole day and night to complete one rotation.

B. The Earth Needs One Whole Year to complete one revolution.

Rotation of Earth on its Axis causes day and night on Earth. Days are longer in summer and shorter in winter.

What causes changes in seasons on The Earth. well i dont know how to answer this question.

I have written all this in my own words sorry if its wrong
