Length of the rectangular lawn=75m

Breadth of the lawn=60m

Width of the road=4m

Area of the road(ABCD) parallel to the length of the lawn = 75m×4m

                                                                               =300m2

Area of the road(EFGH) parallel to the breadth of the lawn = 60m×4m

                                                                               =240m2

Area of the common area in both ABCD and EFGH = 4m×4m

                                                                               =16m2

Total area of both the rectangular roads = 300+240−16

                                                                     =524m2

Cost of gravelling the roads per m2= Rs.4.50

Cost of gravelling the roads for 524m2

                                                      =4.50×524

                                                      =2358

Cost of gravelling the road is Rs.2358
