C. Read the following passage carefully. .

Hydel power has many advantages over fossil fuels. Hydroelectricity is
produced by using the force of falling water. The water can fall naturally or can
be made to fall by building dams across river channels. The falling water is
channelized to enter a turbine and the moving blades turn the generator to
produce electricity. The water coming out of the turbine is used for irrigation.
Many developed countries like USA, Canada, Russia, Sweden, Norway,
New Zealand and China have developed hydel power projects. In India, a large
number of multipurpose river valley projects have been developed to produce
hydroelectricity. Some of them are Bhakra, Nangal, Hirakud, Damodar Valley
Corporation, NagarjunaSagar, Kosi, Koyna, Rihand and Narmada valley.
