A farmer bought a goose from a village fair.
His wife was happy to have the goose. They
kept the goose in their barn. The goose laid
a golden egg every day. The farmer and his
wife were very happy. Each day, the farmer

and his wife soon became rich. The farmer's
wife became greedy. She wanted to get all the
