- Important subjects are discussed at lunchtime every day by them.
- This matter is still being considered by them.
- Every effort to end the strike was being made by them.
- The house must be cleaned by you.
- He was told about that yesterday by somebody.
- When was this mistake made by him?
- How often are you asked by your teachers?
The above sentences are in the active voice. In the solution, the voices of the sentences have been changed to that of a passive voice.
While making these changes a few things are to be kept in mind. There are as follows-
- There is usually an addition of the word 'by' when a sentence is in the passive voice.
- It is usually placed towards the end of the sentence, before the subject.
- However, this can be avoided only when the subject can be easily assumed or guessed.
- The meaning of the sentence should be left untouched.
