Given:-

C.S.A = 264 m sq.

Volume = 924 m cube.

radius and height are not given

so,

let radius be 'r'

and let height be 'h'

(we have to find diameter and height )

C.S.A = 2πrh

= 264 = 2 X 22/7 X r X h

= 264 = 44/7 X rh

= 264 X 7/44 = rh

= 6 X 7 = rh

= 42 = rh

we got the value of rh = 42

Volume = πr^2h

= 924 = 22/7 X r X r X h

(put the value of rh = 42)

= 924 = 22/7 X r X 42

= 924 X 7/22 = 42 r

= 42 X 7= 42 r

= 294 = 42 r

= 294/42 = r

= 7 = r

so radius = 7m

now height ,

as r X h = 42

and r =7

so

= 7 X h = 42

= h = 42/7

= h = 6

we get radius = 7m

height = 6m

so

as diameter = 2r

diameter = 2 X 7

diameter = 14m

CHECK

radius = 7m

height = 6m

C.S.A = 2πrh

= 2 X 22/7 X 7 X 6

= 44/7 X 42

= 44 X 6

= 264 m sq.

Volume = πr^2h

= 22/7 X 7 X 7 X 6

= 9468/7

= 924 m cube.
