ans1:History is the past experiences that had happened over many years ago. We are learning from these experience . these is history. Study of history has evolved over a time from the old history we are developing new technologies and make our life more comfortable.

ans2:Indian historians did not want to call the British rule in India a modern period because Indians at that time were not free. They were not considered equal by the British. The Indian economy was also very backward at that time.

ans3:most of the British government office kept a record of all the process because they wanted to know that what is happening in india and are the Indians using their material. They wanted to know that where is profit in their occupations and where is loss.

ans4: One of the most primary sources of modern Indian history is the official records of the British colonial administration in India. The culture of memos, notings and reports preserved by the British has come to be seen as an authentic source of Indian historiography.

ans5: The modern period in India is associated with the establishment of British colonial rule and the fight we put up against it. It also cover socio-cultural change that came about in India under the influence of the British.
