1.Ans: As we know, average speed is equal to the total distance divided by the total time taken: So, the distances are 18m,  22m and 14m in time 3s, 3s and 3s respectively.

Avg. speed=18m+22m+14m3s+3s+3s

⇒Avg. speed=54m9s

∴Avg. speed=6ms−1

Hence, the required average speed is 6ms−1.

2.Ans: O2 which has a mass of 32 g contains 6.02 X 1023

3.Given:

m = 20 kg

h = 5 m

t = 40 s

To find: We have to find power used by Swaralee to carry bag.

Force applied by Swaralee,

F = mg = 20 * 9.8

F = 196 N

Work done by Swaralee to carry the  bag to a height of 5 m,

W = F s = 196 * 5 = 980 J

By using the formula of Power,

Power = work / time

Power = 980/20

Power = 24.5 W
