Answer:

i). When copper electrodes are used in the electrolysis of copper sulfate solution, the mass loss of copper from the positive anode electrode should equal the mass of copper gained and deposited on the negative cathode electrode

ii). When ammonium hydroxide is added in the solution of copper sulfate drop-wise, a pale blue precipitate of copper hydroxide is obtained. The equation for this follows: When ammonium hydroxide is added in excess, the precipitate dissolves and gives a deep blue solution of tetraammine copper (II) sulfate

iii). When an excess of sodium hydroxide is added to calcium nitrate solution then, a white ppt of Ca(OH)2 is obtained that remains insoluble in excess of NaOH.

iv). When zinc oxide reacts with Sodium hydroxide, then it forms sodium zincate and water

v). When sodium chloride solution is added to lead nitrate solution then it results in the formation of a precipitate of lead chloride and sodium nitrate. The reaction equation for this chemical reaction is as follows. The precipitate lead chloride is insoluble in cold water but it is soluble in hot water.Feb 9, 2018
