c. The mass and weight of an object on
earth are 5 kg and 49 N respectively.
What will be their values on the
moon? Assume that the acceleration
due to gravity on the moon is 1/6th

Answer:

8.1665

Explanation:

weight=mass×accceleration

Acceleration due to gravity on the Earth's surface :

weight=mg

49N=5×g

g=9.8m/s2

acceleration on the moon:

1/6×9.8=1.6333m/s2

the weight on the moon

5×1.6333=8.1665
