Find the area represented by 1 km²:

1 cm : 2 km

2km : 1 cm

1 km : 0.5 cm

( 1 km )² = ( 0.5 cm )²

1 km² = 0.25 cm²

Find the area represented by 10 km²:

1 km² = 0.25 cm²

10km² = 0.25 x 10 = 2.5 cm²

Answer: 10 km² is represented by 2.5 cm² on the map
