☆ The maurayan empire was found in 322 BCE by Chandragupta Maurya , who had overthrowned Nanda dynasty and rapidly expand his empire Chandragupta was assisted by hid Guru Chankya to found mauryan empire.

Chankya's Arlhashastra tell us about the governor and empire and describe the adminstration of Mauryas.

Megasthenes's Irtdika tell us about the political social and economic confition of people during this period.

The "Pradesha" was the head of district who assist "Yuktas" and "Rajukas" . Rajukas were the provincial offical of the admistration. "Yuktas" were the district treasury officer who collect land revenue.

Digvijay is a boyish name which means conquere or a big victory. Dhrmavijaya means justice or virtue.

Buddhism embarraced Ashoka as he don't want more blood shed and violence in his life.
