.conduction

The process of heat flow in solids is called conduction. Conduction occurs when two objects in contact with one another transfer heat between them due to a temperature difference, like the clothes from the dryer.

.Metals and stone are considered good conductors since they can speedily transfer heat, whereas materials like wood, paper, air, and cloth are poor conductors of heat.

.a substance that has no fixed shape and yields easily to external pressure; a gas or (especially) a liquid.

.Thermal radiation is electromagnetic radiation that is emitted by a body as a result of its temperature. All objects with a temperature above absolute zero emit thermal radiation in a spectrum of wavelengths

.Surface ocean currents form large circular patterns called gyres in the oceans. These gyres flow clockwise in Northern Hemisphere oceans and counterclockwise in Southern Hemisphere oceans because of the Coriolis Effect. Near the Earth's poles, there is a tendency for the gyres to flow in the opposite direction.
