The things bepin Choudhary had done to confirm weather or not he was losing his memory :

1. He had confirmed wether he had a scar on his knee when had a fall in hudroo
2.he had knew he had a brother who was in the mental hospital,in Ranchi but never recalled going there.
3. That he had to carry a bag full of books so that would last him the week.
4.He was hesitant but called up his friend Dinesh Mukherji and had confirmed that he had gone to Ranchi in 58.
5.he had also tried to contact his other friend who had left to japan some weeks ago.
6.when chuni had come to his house he had asked him as well.
Finally he had even gone to Ranchi but could not remember as chuni has sent a letter saying that this was a plot to make him realise that money can spoil relationships.
