Substance A was mixed with water then it will give irreversible change while the substance B was mixed with water then it will give a reversible change

Explanation:

  • Reversible change: Reversible change is such type of change which can be reversed and undone once initiated to return to its original form.
  • Irreversible change: Irreversible change is such type of change which cannot be reversed once initiated to return to its original form.
  • Substance A was mixed with water then it will give irreversible change.
  • Reason: Once the mixture hardens upon mixing substance A with water then a hard mass sets and will not return to its original form as in case of mixing plaster of paris with water.
  • Substance B was mixed with water then it will give a reversible change.
  • Reason: It is a reversible change because after mixing a solution will formed which can be reversed or separated to obtain its original form.
