rock cycle is based on three types of rocks that are igneous rocks, sedimentary rock, metamorphic rock.

Explanation:

now let us come to the cycle of rocks.. firstly igneous rocks are made up by the solidification of lava, next sedimentary rocks are form by sediments of igneous rock which are heated inside the earth and then the are melted and form sedimentary rocks... now the last one metamorphic rocks the rocks are formed from sedimentary rocks when they are heated by the lower layer and pressurized by the upper layer... this is how it works...
