1. Shushruta was a great surgeon. He is known as the father of surgery. He was an expert in removing stones from kidneys and bladders. He always use to give their patients wine to numb their senses so that they could not feel much pain. He wrote an unique encyclopaedia on surgery, Shushruta Samhita.
