ca + o2 gives 2cao . calculate the mass of cao formed when 20 g of calcium combines with 60 g of o2

Safwaan127: Mass of Calcium is 20 , Mass of Oxygen is 60 ,
Safwaan127: I mean Mass of Oxygen in 16* sorry my bad.
Safwaan127: Then when u substitute u get
Safwaan127: 2Ca+O2 = 20(2) + 2(16) =40+ 32 =92g I guess.
sanjh: First of all your equation is wrong , it should be2Ca+O2 -> 2CaO

2ca+o2=2cao
80+32=2(40+16)
80+32=112
40+16=56
