Ca - calcium (orange colored flames)
Sr - strontium (red colored flames)

Calcium gives orange color, strontium gives red colour and barium gives green color.

•Flame test is given by elements when solid dipped rod is heated in presence of flame.

•Characteristic color is produced by particular elements.

•Colors are produced because heating causes excitation of electrons to higher levels.

•These electrons when go back to their lower levels, photons of particular wavelength are released. These are seen as colors.
