The exact detail of John Cabot's life are subject of debate. He is known for developing the idea of sailing toward west and reaching to Asia. He was living in England by 1490's and was commissioned by the king Henry Seventh to make the expedition across north Atlantic. He sailed in May 1497 from Bristol and landed in the late June.  The exact location of his landing site is unknown but it is considered to be in the Newfoundland, Cape Briton Island or southern Labrador. He returned to England after his first voyage and later deported in mid 1498 and died en route.
