Hey there!

Number of cadets in each row = 5 .

So, Number of cadets in 1 st row = 5

Number of cadets in first two rows = 5 + 5 = 10 = 2(5)

Number of cadets in first three rows = 5 + 5 + 5 = 15 = 3(5)

Number of cadets in first n rows = 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 + ... + 5 ( n times) = n (5 )

The rule for the number of cadets for a given number of rows " n " is 5n .

Hope helped!

Hi ,

According to the problem given ,

Number of cadets in each row = 5 ---( 1 )

Let the number of rows = n --- ( 2 )

Total number of cadets in the parade

= ( 1 ) × ( 2 )

= 5n

I hope this helps you.
