Julius Caesar was proud and overconfident because one day when his wife told her that she saw a dream in which he was dead and everyone was washing their hands with blood of Caesar but Julius Caesar paid no heed to his wife and said nothing would happen and that's why he was overconfident.

ceasar was over ambitious and over confident because calpurnia(ceasar's wife) made him aware of the bad omens that were in calpurnia's dream. for that calpurnia even said " your wisdom is consumed by your confidence" yet ceasar didn't stop leading to the conspiracy...
