So here, when an ant bites it injects formic acid into your skin and this acid reacts with your skin and causes pain. So, calamine solution is applied to neutralise the effect of it . Ant sting contains formic acid.  Calamine solution neutralise the effect of acid of ant bite when applied on the skin.
