Dear Student,
◆ Answer -
- Metal
- Smaller
- CaO
● Explaination -
(i) Electronic configuration of calcium is 2, 8, 8, 2. As it lies in group 2 of modern periodic table, calcium is metal.
(ii) Atomic radius of elements decreases from left to right across a period. As calcium is on right of potassium in same period, it will have smaller radius than potassium.
(iii) From electronic configuration of calcium, its valence is 2+. Thus formula of its oxide will be CaO.
Thanks dear...
