Answer : The pH of a salt of weak monobasic acid and  weak monoacidic base is 6.8

Explanation :

The formula used for weak monobasic acid and  weak monoacidic base of pH is:

pH=\frac{1}{2}[pK_w+pK_a-pK_b]

where,

pK_w = dissociation constant of water = 14

pK_a = dissociation constant of weak acid = 4.8

pK_b = dissociation constant of weak base = 5.2

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get:

pH=\frac{1}{2}\times [14+4.8-5.2]

pH=6.8

Therefore, the pH of a salt of weak monobasic acid and  weak monoacidic base is 6.8
