To convert a fraction into decimal, we first make the denominator 10,100,1000...etc. For that we multiply the denominator by some number and then the numerator by the same number.

7/8, so...

7/8= 8×125=1000
So 7×125=875

So the answer is 875/1000 = 0.875

7/8 =7/(2*2*2)
=(7*5*5*5)/(2*5*2*5*2*5)
=875/1000
