calculate binding energy per nucleon for a boron nucleus 5B11 taking its mass 10.811u

Mass of proton=1.007825 u
mass of neutron=1.008665u

hell. oo friend !!
i calculated this via using My book@pearson!!
hope it helps you!!

∆m=Zmp+(A−Z)mn−M(Z+A)
Δm=(5×1⋅007825)+(6×1⋅008665)−(10⋅811)=0⋅280115
Now binding energy is ,
B.E=mass defect×931 MeV
B.E=0⋅280115×931=260⋅78 MeV So binding energy per nucleon is
B.Emass nUmber(A)=260⋅7811=23⋅708 MeV
