Frequency is found using the formula:
f = c/λ
Where λ is the wavelength of the light and c is the speed of light (3x10^8 m/s)
The average wavelength for red light is 685nm and 415nm for violet light.
f(red) = (3x10^8 m/s)/685x10^-9m)
Which is about 4.4x10^14 Hz
f(violet) = (3x10^8 m/s)/415x10^-9m)
