Given:-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 30m/s

  • Final velocity (v) = 45m/s.

  • Time Taken (t) = 10min = 10×60 =600s

To Find:-

  • Distance traveled by bus.

Solution:-

Firstly we have to calculate the acceleration of bus. So, by using 1st equation of motion

v = u+at

Substitute the value we get

→ 45 = 30 + a×600

→ 45-30 = a×600

→ 15 = a×600

→ a = 15/600

→ a = 1/40 m/s²

And Now by using 2nd equation of motion

s = ut +1/2at²

Substitute the value we get

→ s = 30×600 + 1/2×1/40 × 600²

→ s = 18000 + 1/2 × 1/40 × 360000

→ s = 18000 + 1/2 × 15750

→ s = 18000 + 7875

→ s = 25875

→ s = 25875/1000 = 25.87 km

The distance covered by bus is 25.87 km.

Explanation :-

Given :-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 30m/s
  • Final velocity (v) = 45m/s
  • Time (t) = 10min = 10 × 60 = 600sec

To Find :-

  • The distance travelled by bus.

Solution :-

  • First, we need to find out the acceleration of bus,

So,

Applying the 1st equation of motion,

v = u + at

=> 45 = 30 + a × 600

=> 600a = 45 - 30

=> 600a = 15

=> a = 15/600

=> a = 1/40m/s².

Now, Apply 2nd equation of motion to find the distance travelled by bus.

s = ut + ½ × at²

=> s = 30 × 600 + ½ × 1/40 × (600)²

=> s = 1800 + ½ × 1/40 × 360000

=> s = 1800 + ½ × 15750

=> s = 1800 + 7875

=> s = 25875 m.

Convert meter into kilometer,

=> s = 25875/1000 = 25.875km

Hence,

  • The distance travelled by bus is 25.875km.
