Electric field due to a long wire of linear charge density ∆ (say) is given as:

Ē= ∆/ 2π€r

Where r= distance from the wire

Ē= 10^(-4) / [2*3.14*8.85*(10^-12)*10*(10^-2)]

= 17.98*10^(-3)
