To calculate energy of a photon there is a simple formula which will give the approx. I answer

the formula is E=12400/lambda eV

lambda should be taken in A

so the energy is 12400/6000=2.066eV

Answer:

3.313 × 10 ^ -16

Explanation:

energyvof photon = hc/lamda

h = plancks const. c = speed of light

E = 6.626 × 10^ -34 × 3 ×10^8 / 6000 × 10 ^ -10

= 3.313 × 10^-16 joules

if answer is in eV divide the above by 1.6 × 10^-19
