Given :

  • Mass of the car = 1000kg
  • Velocity of the car = 54km/h

To Find :

  • Kinetic energy of the car.

Solution :

We have to find the kinetic of the car where Mass and Velocity of the car given respectively.

given that,

  • Mass = 1000kg
  • velocity = 54km/h

Changing speed to m/s,

\displaystyle{\longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{54}{60} \times \dfrac{1000}{60}}\\\\\displaystyle{\longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{54\times 10{\cancel{0}}{\cancel{0}}}{6{\cancel{0}}\times 6{\cancel{0}}}}\\\\\displaystyle{\longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{{\cancel{54}}^9\times 10}{{\cancel{36}}_6}}\\\\\displaystyle{\longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{45}{3}}\\\\\displaystyle{\longrightarrow \sf \underline{15\:m/s}}

formula to be used,

\underline{\boxed{\sf Kinetic\: energy=\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2}}

  • m = mass
  • v = velocity

Substituting values,

\displaystyle{\longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{1}{2}mv^2}\\\\\displaystyle{\longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{1}{2}\times 1000 \times (15)^2 }\\\\\displaystyle{\longrightarrow \sf 500\times 15 \times 15}\\\\\displaystyle{\longrightarrow \sf 500 \times 225 }\\\\\displaystyle{\longrightarrow \sf 112500}

Required Answer :

The Kinetic energy of the car is \underline{\sf 112500\: Joules}
