then find the middle value in this set  that is:46

so this set is divided into two parts

• first part is (28,35,35,41,43):-in this the middle value is 35 and it is lower quartile

lower quartile can also be calculated using::((n+1)/4) t h observation and we

get the value 35..

• second part is (46,49,50,52,54) :-in this middle value is 50 and it is the upper quartile.
